Organized Sports

What came first, the sports or the fans? Do you think that before there were organized sports people still dressed in matching color schemes to watch events unfold and then cheer and eat hot dogs? Perhaps it began with two people throwing and bouncing a crude ball around that drew the attention of bystanders who were the forefathers of the modern sports fan. Whether it was the turkey or the egg that came first, this Thanksgiving weekend I am going to be sure to sit on my couch for hours on end saluting all of the fans of sports that came over on the Mayflower, as well as all the fans that already called this continent “home” in their native language.

Eight teams playing 12 games over three days!

Eight teams playing 12 games over three days! There is going to be a lot of action to keep track of this Thanksgiving weekend, especially if you plan on keeping yourself halfway into a food coma for the entire holiday season like I do. But thankfully for both of us the Internet has gifted us a downloadable bracket for the Old Spice Classic, so that even if you do slip into a turkey-induced coma for part of the tournament, you will know right where you are when you are revived by a dedicated medical professional.
