Old Spice Launches New Fresh Collection: A Line of Scents Inspired by the Freshest Places on Earth
To Celebrate the Availability of the Fresh Collection, Old Spice Wants to Send Two Guys to Matterhorn and Fiji, for the Fresh Adventure Internship of a Lifetime
CINCINNATI (MARCH 15, 2010) – Old Spice (NYSE: PG) today announced the launch of the Fresh Collection, a line of antiperspirant/deodorants that gives guys the chance to smell like some of the freshest places on earth. Designed by the scent experts at Procter & Gamble, Fresh Collection combines the great protection guys have come to know and expect from Old Spice, with a blend of fresh fragrances that are subtle and not overpowering. Fresh Collection is inspired by four well-known lands from across the globe, each one containing scent notes familiar to that location:
– Fiji: Smells like palm trees, sunshine and freedom
– Matterhorn: Smells like ice, wind and freedom
– Cyprus: Smells like limes, an ocean breeze and freedom
– Denali: Smells like wilderness, open air and freedom
“The Fresh Collection will change the way a lot of people think about Old Spice,” said James Moorhead, Old Spice Deodorant Brand Manager. “The scents are clean and fresh and are specifically designed for guys who want to avoid scents that are too strong or too musky.”
Old Spice Fresh Adventure Internship
To celebrate the Fresh Collection launch, Old Spice is seeking two qualified candidates for internship positions to explore where freshness smells from, embarking on a unique journey enabling them to live and breathe all of the experiences that Fiji and Matterhorn have to offer.
In May, two candidates will be hired to participate in the Old Spice Fresh Adventure Internship. As part of their job requirement, the interns will be reporting on their scent-inspired adventures via social media channels and a special blog on www.OldSpice.com. Prior to traveling, each intern will be outfitted with $5,000 and an itinerary of “jobs” to complete and document while on location such as:
Don traditional Swiss lederhosen and tear up the mountain while snowboarding some of the world’s best snow. Attach 10 Velcro-padded sticks of Old Spice Matterhorn to the Lederhosen suspenders and hand out to 5 other skiers and snowboarders on the mountain – while yelling out “You smell like Matterhorn!!” – at the same time. Use your helmet cam (provided by Old Spice) to capture video of you in action – and reaction shots.
Forget the roulette wheel and fancy cars…but don’t forget the threads. Don a tuxedo and head up to Klein Mountain and snowboard/ski till you fly by Plateau Rosa…Italy. Capture the multi-country adventure taping proof that you were in two different countries on the same day.
Weave a hat from palm fronds, incorporating a stick of Old Spice Fiji as part of the design. Hit the waves and keep the hat on…in fact, go ahead and wear the hat the rest of your trip (mandatory – videotape proof).
Participate in the Aqua-Trek Shark Encounter (with a certified guide), take a photo of the largest shark that makes you sweat and make sure your water-proof Old Spice Fiji is in the shot.
“The Old Spice Fresh Collection reflects a sense of adventure that is synonymous with the Old Spice brand,” said Moorhead. “The internship is a once in a lifetime opportunity for someone to get real hands-on experience in various fields such as oceanography – surfing in Fiji, and geography – snowboarding from Switzerland to Italy in the same day.”
To help better prepare the interns for their adventure, Old Spice is teaming up with two world-class athletes: professional snowboarder Gretchen Bleiler and professional surfer Anastasia Ashley, who are coming on-board as internship mentors.
Applicants for the Old Spice Fresh Adventure Internship contest can enter, find complete rules and learn more about the unique activities by visiting www.OldSpiceAdventure.com beginning March 15, 2010. Winners will be announced in May 2010, and the internships will take place in June 2010.
No purchase necessary. Void where prohibited. Open to male residents of the 49 U.S. and D.C. (void in ME), 18 or older (AL & NE residents must be 19 or older and MS residents must be 21 or older) with an active Facebook and/or Twitter personal account. Contest begins 12:01AM ET on 3/15/10 and ends 11:59PM ET on 4/15/10. Visit www.OldSpiceAdventure.com for complete Official Rules.
The Old Spice Fresh Collection is available now with an SRP of $4.29 for a 2.6 oz stick. To learn more about Fresh Collection and for downloadable product images, please visit www.OldSpiceMediaCenter.com.

I JUST CHECKED OUT YOUR LATEST “MATTERHORN” COMMERCIAL.
EVEN THOUGH I REALISE YOU GUYS STILL TOOK A GLIBB-APPROACH TO MAKING A NEW COMMERCIAL, AT LEAST I COULDNT FIND ANYTHING OFFENSIVE ABOUT IT!
IT DID SEEM TO BE DIRECTED TOWARD THE GENDER THAT OLD SPICE HAS BEEN PRODUCED FOR. GOOD SHOW THERE!
I THINK IN A WAY THAT ITS ADMIRABLE TO PROMOTE A NEW PRODUCT WITH “GEOGRAPHICAL REFERANCE NAMES”. QUITE OFTEN PEOPLE BUY NEW TOILETRIES PRIOR TO DEPARTURE FOR A LONG IMPORTANT TRIP, IRREGARDLESS OF WHAT NATURE THE TRIP IS ALL ABOUT.
AT LEAST YOU DIDNT SMEAR A SPORT CATAGORY ALL OVER IT JUST TO TRY AND SELL A CERTAIN CROWD!
I REALISE THAT THE NATURE OF THE CONTEST DESCRIBED ABOVE, CAUSES THE 2 SELECTEES TO MAKE FOOLS OF THEMSELVES IN ORDER TO HELP PROMOTE THE NEW PRODUCTS. POSSIBLY AT PERSONAL RISK TO THEMSELVES. TYING THIS IN WITH RISKY SPORTS MAY PROVE TO BE A LIABILITY!
I STILL WOULDNT MIND SEEING A MORE SERIOUS APPROACH TO RECOGNIZING WHAT A TRUE MAN IS ALL ABOUT.
I KNOW IVE SEEN VETS WRITE INTO THIS BLOG, BUT AT THE SAME TIME WE KNOW HOW UNPOPULAR THE WARS OVERSEAS ARE.
IVE SEEN YOUR COMMERCIALS WHILE WATCHING THE DEADLIEST CATCH AND HAVE SUGGESTED BEFORE THAT HANDING THOSE GUYS FREE SAMPLES AS A WAY OF SAYING “THANKS FOR ENDURING WHAT THEY GO THRU”, JUST TO PUT CRAB IN OUR RESTAURANTS BEFORE THEY LEAVE THE DOCK;
WOULD MAKE ANY MAN PROUD TO BE A PART OF THAT HONORING!

Good to see something with lime back in the product line. It would be even better to see (and smell) the Shulton original cologne and its deep clove spice notes return. There would be even more cash to be made by P&G if they offered the original Shulton formula. Many men would pay much money! Please Bring back the original formula!
Posted by: Jim on March 18, 2010 at 8:00am #
I would have to agree with the above poster. The original EO based version of this product was fantastic. I know there is a market for a premium version of this fragrance. Perhaps now that P&G owns AOS there would be a move to incorporate this into the”upmarket” AOS product line. One only has to scan the shaving web boards such as Badger and Blade to see the esteem for the original and the excitement created when one finds a vintage bottle.
Lets hope that some one with the original recipe can make this happen!
Posted by: BBob on March 18, 2010 at 8:39am #
I cast another vote to bring back the original formula. It would instantly be my #1 aftershave. I’m sure many others feel the same.
Posted by: Chris on March 18, 2010 at 10:02am #
Great contest! I agree with the guys who posted above too. Nothing beats the fragrance of the original Shulton Old Spice. You guys have lightning in a bottle with that formula. Bringing it back would really put the Swagger back in Old Spice!
Posted by: JDogg on March 18, 2010 at 11:17am #
The newer P&G version of Old Spice is too powdery to me. I would prefer a reintroduction of the original Old Spice as it was made by Shulton.
Posted by: jbp84 on March 18, 2010 at 1:40pm #
I second the above comments about bringing back the original formula. Even if it isn’t in glass bottles, or other more expensive packaging, the “old” formula would sell VERY well. Don’t believe me? Go to eBay and see how much 20+ year old bottles (sometimes not even completely full) are selling for. Some of them are going for as high as 100 dollars! If people are willing to pay that much for an old, opened bottle, I’m pretty sure they’d be happy to purchase it for 11 or 12 bucks a pop at the grocery store.
Posted by: Crawford on March 18, 2010 at 3:19pm #
If P&G brought back the original Shulton formula they would make a profit on it. The original is still the best smelling Old Spice there is and if it was brought back it easily be my goto aftershave. Hands down.
Posted by: Joeb on March 18, 2010 at 3:33pm #
I also would like to see the original scent back in production.

I would agree on bringing back the original formula….over here in vegas we have a group that deticates going house to house offering to buy their shulton formula old spice…..No luck yet….Theres big money to make in the original formula……If you can bring back the glass bottles too…..I know many teenagers woud go crazy to get their hands on the shulton formula old spice including me..Big Money
Posted by: Old Old Spice on March 18, 2010 at 4:43pm #
I too miss the original Shulton formula . . . and the glass bottles.
Please bring back the original Shulton scent and the glass bottles. I would pay a premium. thanks.
Posted by: Adam on March 18, 2010 at 5:35pm #
I agree with the previous posters. The new version of Old Spice is just “OKAY”. I am only 25, but can remember my father and grandfather using the Shulton version, and everyone around them loved it. I would definitely like to see the Shulton version make a comeback. As previously stated, the demand for this version is huge and can only be met by online vendors and eBay members who have access to the old stock. Men young and old would once again develop loyalty to the Old Spice brand if a time-tested classic was available.
Posted by: Dan on March 18, 2010 at 5:41pm #
I think a return to the original Shulton scent would fit in with the current theme very well.
After all, “I’m on a horse”, one of the best lines ever used in a commercial, is an over the top reference to the manly things of yesterday. What could be more manly than the Shulton scent that was known by the men who won WWII?
Swagger? In spades!

fiji is the best smelling deodorant out on the market old spice needs to make it in a body wash and body spray if they were smart. all the other scents smell okay but fiji is by far the best!!!! and what ever happened to glacial falls that was the best scent but got discontinued i guess
Posted by: Joe on March 19, 2010 at 6:30am #
I have a question, are you using the Everclear formula for the Fresh collection antiperspirants? I currently use the Everclear Pure Sport scent and it is the best antiperspirant I have ever used! Keeps me dry all day and no white stains on my shirts. I would love to try the lime scented Cyprus but only if it is the Everclear formula.
Oh and bring back Old Spice Fresh Lime please, I miss it.

Are you serious? You want the face of Old Spice to look like an absolute imbecile?? This is way tacky. Contest could be interesting and cool – but, leave ot the stupidity. Unless that’s the image you want. “Weave a hat from palm fronds, incorporating a stick of Old Spice Fiji as part of the design. Hit the waves and keep the hat on…in fact, go ahead and wear the hat the rest of your trip (mandatory – videotape proof).”
Posted by: mari on March 19, 2010 at 6:39am #
Another pathetic antic:
“Attach 10 Velcro-padded sticks of Old Spice Matterhorn to the Lederhosen suspenders and hand out to 5 other skiers and snowboarders on the mountain – while yelling out “You smell like Matterhorn!!” – at the same time. Use your helmet cam (provided by Old Spice) to capture video of you in action – and reaction shots.”
Come on Old Spice! My grandfather, father, and husband wear your scent – and this is not their image.

…while you attach 10 velcro-padded sticks of deodorant to your suspenders while yelling out “you smell like Matterhorn!!” Or in your palm frond hat with deodorant sticking out cooly hitting those waves!
But, I do believe, Jason – you can perform all of these antics with manly dignity, grace, and passion! If you do happen to look a little like a dork – you’ll be $5grand richer and having more fun than me. Good luck – I hope you win!

Don’t know who is in charge of advertising, or who your advertising agency is, but both should be fired. Why can’t you sell product on the basis that it is long standing and it works. I have used your products for years and it’s not because and never will be because of ridiculous commercials. This new advertising campaign “gimmick” has actually made me consider trying something different.
Posted by: Shawn on March 20, 2010 at 12:12am #
Im not sure about what your talking about Jason; but Chinese food always makes me “comport myself”!
Sometimes I barely make it in the front door! My kids and wife laugh at me while I walk pidgeon-towed down the hall to the bathroom.
Sometimes I have to stop and resist the urge not to “comport all over myself”!
Posted by: Walt Whitman on March 20, 2010 at 2:46am #
I share the view of many others commentors here that at some point, in some market the old Shulton Old Spice fragrance should be brought back.
All one has to do is look at the intensity of exuberance of eBay purchases, as well as on the top shaving boards to see there is a significant niche market with lots of $$$ ready to snap up every last original formula, Shulton Old Spice cologne, after shave, soap, etc. on the face of the earth. P&G should be tapping into that exuberance
I surmise that if there was a limited time, limited edition, TRUE remake of the original Shulton done as a market test, it would surpass even your WILDEST dreams, and someone inside of P&G responsible for the Old Spice brand would be a hero with a BIG promotion for being SOOOO SMART!!
Posted by: Bill Haydon on March 20, 2010 at 1:46pm #
I too am in favor of the old Shulton Old Spice. Found an unopened bottle of my grandfather’s, and it is amazing. Far more mature scent than what is currently marketed. With the purchase of AOS, it would make sense to produce a tallow based shave soap with the original OS scent. It would be a sure fire winner in the luxury shaving goods market–which is why you bought AOS, right?
Posted by: Chris on March 20, 2010 at 6:00pm #
I would so love to see a return of the original Shulton Old Spice formulation with its deep spicy scent! I would buy a case of it. Really! Currently I order my Old Spice from an internet store in India just to get the original formulations.

Hey, P&G; give us guys back the great-smelling Shulton Old Spice from the good old days, in the glass bottles with the old-style clipper ship logo. Phase it back in the way you phased it out; quietely and rapidly, no questions asked. Look at the prices the Shulton stuff is going for on ebay; forty-plus dollars for one bottle of after-shave! Men want this fragrance at any cost! Also notice that your new stuff is NOT selling at all on ebay; no one wants it (sorry). Guys know the real thing when they smell it. You will make millons of men very happy by putting the genuine Shulton scent back into the buoy bottles.

I would like to know if the 4 new scents are going to be available in the Red Zone line of deodorants. I’m not an anti-perspirant guy but would love to be able to buy those new scents in Red Zone!

My husband finally worked thru his stash of Original Old Spice; it included several bottles he recovered from his Dad’s house after his dad passed away. We had no idea that the original company that produced it had been bought out, or that the “Classic” fragrance was anything other than the original. YUCK!!! The scent isn’t even close and it gave my husband a terrible headache. I’m really disappointed because my Grandfather wore the Original Old Spice, and that scent always reminded me of him, so it was doubly nice that my husband wore it! Count me in with the other posters above. BRING BACK the ORIGINAL in the glass bottles. I know we would be thrilled to pay more to have it. As it is, there will be no more Old Spice products in our home (due to the headaches) and the disappointing scents.
Posted by: Hank on March 22, 2010 at 3:30pm #
I noticed the change in Old Spice cologne and after-shave soon after P&G took over the brand. I thought it was just me but apparently every man who’s ever used the stuff noticed how different the scent became. Now, I know we’re not just a bunch of nut-cases and I sincerely hope that P&G does not think that we are. We are the “boomer” generation as well as the “greatest generation” (WW2) of men who have been loyal customers of Old Spice all our adult lives. Retro is in right now and so many young guys want to re-live the scent of their fathers and grandfathers. And I dare say that there are probably many really young men who do not know what the “original/classic” lines of Old Spice are really supposed to smell like. It’s been over fifteen years since the change in scent started to take place. I bought a bunch of the Shulton stuff from dollar close-out stores back then and am still hoarding it and using it sparingly. I would so love to get a definitive answer on what really happened. Is it “New Coke” all over again? If so, it’s been going on way too long! Coke lost my business when they changed their recipe but if Old Spice returns to the genuine original formula, the “real” Old Spice” of Shulton legend, then I will happily re-embrace the product and purchase it like never before. I LOVE Old Spice! It is a part of me; my signature! I would love to smell it again as it was in the days of yore! We know that the scent of Old Spice (original/classic) has changed. Millions of men cannot be wrong on this. We want the warm, spicy, exuberant scent our dads used back in their day. It is the scent of gentlemen. It is the scent of class and masculinity. We miss it and want to see it return to the places we like to shop. We want to see it packaged into glass bottles once again with the traditional clipper ship design along with the Old Spice script logo. Charge me 15 bucks a bottle; I do not care. I do not mind paying for quality. Heck, I can still buy pickles and olives and catsup in glass bottles but not my faorite cologne. This saddens me but I have hope that P&G will rise to the occasion and offer some sort of solution to the cries of millions of us guys out here.

Posted by: Nate on March 24, 2010 at 12:31am #
I have to echo quite a few of the above statements and say that i really hope for a return of the original Shulton Formula. I currently have 2 bottles of the Shulton cologne and one bottle of the Shulton aftershave and I can guarantee that when those are empty I won’t be replacing them with the new”Classic” scent. It is far too weak and has no where near the great spice smell of Shulton. I wear that scent every time I go out with my wife and am constantly being complimented. It is bar none one of the best fragrances ever produced and it is a shame that it has been changed. Bring it back and package it in the glass bottles and I can promise you it will sell.
Posted by: Bill Smith on March 24, 2010 at 4:34pm #
Another vote for the Shulton formula Old Spice aftershave in the glass bottle. I remember my dad using it after shaving when I was growing up.
Now as a PR/Communications/marketing pro, I scanned this thread of comments and others on this site, I hope they are being counted in the analytics. Safe to say without access to the data, be careful messing with a legacy brand like Old Spice.
It’s a safe bet most customers were introduced to OS by their dad, so it is an inter-generational sales job. My case in point, I like the Old Spice classic aftershave, it reminds me of dad. I love the Shulton formula much more and I have a small stash left I only use on really special occasions.
Selling the glass bottle packaged original formula will be easy, do not underestimate the power of nostalgia. Goofy TV campaigns like AXE are a turn off, play the nostalgia card. People love the original old spice scent because it brings back fond memories of a loved one. Play on it, it’s not brain surgery
Posted by: Blake on March 25, 2010 at 7:21pm #
So many men (and even some ladies) are here calling for a return of the Shulton Formula. As a guy who is only 19 years old I’ve never even heard of this truly “classic” scent, and that makes me sad. I tend to trust the opinions of men who have been around a little longer than I have; many times the things they say end up being wise, informed, and true. In my own search for a unique cologne that defines timeless masculinity, I’ve never been completely satisfied. I’ve followed my nose and narrowed my search to the Old Spice brand, because there’s something refined about Old Spice’s scents that I like. But even here I find myself jumping irresolutely from scent to scent within Old Spice’s product line. And I’m growing weary of that.
So Old Spice, if you can hear me, please bring back your classic scent. The real one. Keep the variety for those who would have it, but as for me, I want to wear something that’s been tried, tested and proven. And I want to smell like a man.
Posted by: Paul Johnson on March 26, 2010 at 7:30am #
Please bring back the Old Spice shaving soap. There is nothing out there that comes close and with all the Old Spice mugs out there you should have no trouble finding customers.
People are paying $40 to $50 a cake on Ebay. There are no supplies left and many empty Old Spice Shaving Mugs.

I bought the Fiji sent about a week ago… my girlfriend actually comes up to me and sniffs my armpits because she loves the scent! It sounds weird but it’s true. This is the best smelling scent I’ve ever used. If there was a Fiji cologne I would dump my Dolce & Gabbana “Light Blue” for it… and probably save a lot of money. Looking forward to the body spray version!

For 40 years I have used your products and liked them. The new deoderant with the ‘original scent’ is a barefaced lie. It looks and feels like lard. Worse, it smells like it. This is a corporate save money scheme and you have lost a faithful customer!

Posted this earlier, but it seemed to disappear! Wonder why?
————————
My father always used Old Spice, probably because my Mother loved it! I always loved the fragrance too. When I started shaving Old Spice was my favorite for many years , but I gradually moved away to other brands.
Lately though, I guess I’ve grown nostalgic, and started longing for that old familiar smell. I stopped by the store and bought a bottle. I have to tell you, I was very disappointed. This is NOT the same fragrance I used to use, it’s very different from the Old Spice of yesteryear.
I don’t like the new smell! ….And what is with the Plastic Bottles and the New Logo?? Terrible!
You guys are Missing the Boat!
Seriously, there are a whole lot of Boomers like me that are feeling nostalgic and looking for something familiar from the past. If you give us the Old Original Version of the product we grew up with, complete with the Grand Turk, and/or Friendship on a GLASS Bottle, you would have another wave of a very loyal following. I wouldn’t even mind paying more for the original version to cover the cost of the GLASS, and more expensive ingredients. Even paying double would be fine if I could just get that classic scent!
Bring back the old Soap on a Rope, and the Shaving Mugs with the richly scented Old Spice Shaving Soap! …Yes. Wet shaving is making a comeback! Just try to buy a classic Gillette Fat Boy Razor On eBay! I saw one sell for $256 a few days ago! People will pay that much, because it’s Old Fashioned Quality, and 100% Original!
As it is now, I returned your product to the store and got my money back. Guess I’ll hit eBay and look for some new old stock.
It’s too bad some companies just don’t understand that people will always come back to quality!

P&G/Old Spice web site has edited this before and removed it, so I’ll keep posting it and it’s embellished even more:
There is no Original Scent Body Wash in Florida. I travel between North and South Florida and I stop at many retail outlets looking for Original Scent and it is no where to be found. It is also not available online via this site. In addition the original Scent Body Wash HAS changed dramatically since its introduction. I know because I’ve been using Old Spice for 45 years. P&G…stop screwing with your core product line or your actions will eventually come back to bite you in the butt. Anybody in business knows this fact, unless Old Spice is eating up another divisions product market share and you’re intentionally trying to sabotage Old Spice? I also noticed the bottles are almost half the size now? Profits are great but trashing your core product that got you there is not to smart……
How about a little corporate honesty about what you are trying to do instead of trying to buy me off with free coupons for stuff that’s not even in the stores! Your people on your consumer relations lines know nothing and their only job is to appease me and shut me up with what ever words that will work. What’s it gonna’ take, certified letters to the CEO to get the message across? Look at this overall blog, the general opinion is negative. Ever stop to think why?

i heartily agree. please bring back the original scent. i had a lady friend of my wife almost jump in my lap and hug me because i was wearing the original old spice. don’t throw out the old to bring in the new. i can’t see the cost being prohibitive to keep the original scent.

I wish you guys would make the Fresh Collection in Body Wash I bought Denali the other day and couldnt find a body wash to match. They all smell great though great job on the new Deoderant. I will probably use it for life now.
Sincerely,

I love the new FRESH COLLECTION. Bought all four after trying Matterhorn.
Please make an after-shave line with the same scents. I would buy all four instantly.

I have to agree with some of the dissatisfied individuals here, I’ve sniffed the new scents and frankly they don’t smell like a man wants to smell. They smell like a lady WANTS a man to smell and that is sell out BS Old Spice.
I can only assume (since I haven’t been able to find it anywhere for a while) that my favorite deodorant scent “Mountain Rush” is discontinued. Please either reinstate that one, or email me how to buy out the remaining stock of it in a warehouse somewhere cause as soon as I run out of my stockpile I’ll have to find a new brand since NONE of the scents (especially the new ones) are musky enough or appealing. Thank you and good day.

I really liked Old Spice, but the new products in the Old Spice line of deodorants drove me to Degree. I used to love Old Spice’s “Red Zone,” but its been replaced by “Sweat Defense.” That’s a great name, but it comes out like mess, goes on like a mess, and makes a mess of my shirts and underarms. I found a few “Red Zones” left on a store shelf, but I now realize they too make a big mess. Hopefully, one day Old Spice will create a product that works well and goes on dry with less mess.

I switched old spice scents and now have dark bruise rings around each armpit. Did you have a bad batch? Somebody needs to get in touch with me. Thanks.

I (now) do not think P&G has changed the scent of classic Old Spice. I used to think so before I let a bottle of their cologne set for several months. When I did try it again, I found the scent to be like the Shulton stuff. It smelled the same to me. I bought a brand new bottle of the classic cologne in the plastic bottle a couple of weeks ago and found it to be awesome right out of the bottle. It smells different when you first put it on becaus it is a fresh batch of product; has not been warehoused for a long time, etc. Guys who are buying old store stock Shulton are getting good stuff, it’s just mellowed and evaporated into a stronger scent due to age. P&G’s will do the same if left to set up for years. I have started to purchase Old Spice cologne (I use it as an aftershave and on my arms) again after not doing so for several years. I now am back and am enjoying the scent as I did back in the 1970’s and through the 1980’s. It’s the same stuff, guys. The cologne changes as it sets up but if you wear it right after a purchase, it smells great all day long and the longer it’s on your skin, the more “Shulton-like” it smells. I’m not crazy about the new bottle but if it smells like the Old Spice I know and love, I will buy it. And I have plenty of the older stuff stored away for comparison, so I DO know of which I speak. Give it a chance men; judge for yourself. Take it home and wear it; don’t just sniff it in the bottle at the store. It needs a man’s skin chemistry to smell right. I love Old Spice Classic cologne.

Do I just stop looking for the truly great Old Spice Classic Body Wash? Have sniffed the “new” fragrances in the stores – bug spray comes to mind.

Bring back the Shulton original.

I work for a moving company and the guys I work with sweet like a water fall and smell so bad at the end of the day, I use old spice every morning and I never sweet like them nor do I ever smell at the end of the day! I did not get this with axe or any other deodorant let alone those sports ones! OLD SPICE is truly the best!!!

Please never get rid of these scents, this fresh collection is amazing!

Long time old spice user here. I bought my first stick of the fiji fresh scent collection recently and absolutely love it! One suggestion I have is to make the fresh scent collection in a clear gel…I do not care for the way the powder stick flakes off once it dries after applied to the underarm. Anyway, thanks for the new products, and keep up the good work!

The new “Sweat Defense” that replaced Red Zone deodorant is terrible. It’s supposed to be a solid, but it is terribly mushy and just makes a mess. Why would you discontinue such a great product like Red Zone???

BEEN AN OLD SPICE USER FOR 50 YEARS. I BORROWED MY DAD’S AT 15 AND LOVED THE FRESH,MASCULINE SCENT BUT NO MORE. I STILL USE OUT OF LOYALTY BUT YOUR P&G VERSION IS DISGUSTING. WHEN MY WIFE ASKS IF I HAVE ANY AFTER SHAVE ON YOU KNOW IT’S BOGUS. SAME FOR YOUR STICK DEODORANT.
I DON’T THINK THAT YOUR MARKETING DEPARTMENT HAS THE BALLS OR THE BRAINS TO REVERSE THIS ATROCIOUS DECISION AND START PRODUCING THE ORIGINAL SHULTON SCENTS AND USING GLASS BOTTLES !!!
I ALSO AGREE WITH THE OPINONS OF THOSE THAT GIVE YOU LOW MARKS FOR YOUR INSIPID ADS. TRY,TRY AGAIN. DOESN’T ANYONE REVIEW THEM FOR THE STUPIDITY QUOTIENT?
CORPORATE AMERICA…….HOW LOW YOU’VE STOOPED TO SQUEEZE EVERY DOLLAR OUT OF US THAT YOU CAN WHILE CHEAPENING EVERY PRODUCT WE BUY.
MAYBE IT’S TIME TO MAKE A CHANGE…..I GUESS EVEN AT 65 ONE CAN MAKE CHANGES.
YOU’RE DECISIONS HAVE TAKEN A CLASSY PRODUCT LINE AND MADE IT INFERIOR. ADMIT YOUR SCREWUPS AND BRING BACK THE ORIGINAL AND RUN A HUGE AD CAMPAIGN AIMED AT ALL THE BABY BOOMERS OUT THERE THAT WOULD LOVE THE SMELL OF OLD SPICE.
